Driver Vetting and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
All drivers and Passenger Assistants working on Transport Service Solutions contracts must have an enhanced DBS disclosure covering Adult and Child Workforce together with Adult and Child barring list clearance before a badge can be issued. Contained within the enhanced disclosure, are checks carried out into the applicant's background including criminal convictions, Department for Education and Skills information, Department of Health information and any other relevant information.
Appointments are made by calling 0300 123 5015 and then selecting option 3. During the appointment, evidence of identity and current address is required in order for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to be completed.
Evidence documents can include:
- Driving licence
- Utility bill dated within the last 3 months
Along with this information, a passport photo and safeguarding training certificate is also required.
Application costs (forms can be found below):
- Full DBS and badge - £57
- Badge only (if a valid DBS is provided. DBS must be less than 3 months old) - £13
- Badge only (if DBS update service registered) - £13
- Lost badge - £10
