Transport Service Solutions has been considering its charity fundraising and after putting a shortlist to a staff vote, our chosen charity is The Wingate Special Children's Trust based at The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, Nantwich.
Business and Projects Manager at TSS, Sarah Tunstall visited Fundraising and Marketing Manager, Elizabeth Brocklehurst at The Wingate Centre to deliver the good news.
Elizabeth said "We are delighted that Transport Service Solutions has selected The Wingate Special Childrens Trust as their charity partner. As a small independent charity, we do not recieve any government funding and rely heavily on the generosity of businesses and individuals from the local community to support our work. Approximately 750 disabled or disadvantaged children visit the Centre and use our facilities on an annual basis. The support of Transport Service Solutions means that we can continue to enrich the lives of our centre users and address the disadvantages faced by disabled people. The team have got some great fundraising ideas and we're really looking forward to working with everyone".
Sarah said "TSS is excited to be working with a charity that is dedicated to providing such invaluable opportunities for children and young people. We are currently devising a fundraising plan so we can define where the most scope is for raising awareness for The Wingate Centre. Charities like The Wingate Centre whose vision is to enrich the lives of children with physical and learning disabilities deserve to be supported and I'm pleased that we can help raise much needed awareness and funds for such a great cause through this partnership".
