Transport Administrator (Full time)

Salary: Grade 4, indicative (£19,312 - £19,698) + additional benefits.

Permanent, Tuesday* to Saturday, 6am - 2pm, (premium payment of time and one half for Saturday). *Day off negotiable at interview, no Sunday working.

The Environmental Hub, Cledford Lane, Middlewich (home working and some office-based working)

Transport Service Solutions is recruiting a full time administrator to join the busy team operating our ‘go-too’ and FlexiLink bus services. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people and making a positive difference to people's lives. Working within a friendly team in this busy role you will :

  • Support delivery of the go-too demand responsive transport service, ensuring the operational system is monitored during service hours.  Liaise with drivers and passengers, responding to issues and enquiries in a timely manner to ensure a positive passenger experience. Be on duty call (rota basis) including early AM and/or late PM shifts and arrange appropriate cover in the event of operational disruption (e.g., driver sickness, vehicle breakdown).

  • Receive phone calls and monitor emails from people who wish to book the FlexiLink service and manage cancellations, checking messages and providing advice.  Enter bookings onto the bespoke (CATSS) booking system and contact passengers to confirm bookings, answering queries and informing of changes as needed.

  • Prepare driver running sheets for FlexiLink services and liaise with drivers on route changes. Add driver shifts and breaks to the go-too operational system and keep updated with road closures or other changes that affect routing and bookings.

  • Check FlexiLink application forms for eligibility and enter passenger details to bespoke systems, ensuring all relevant details are provided e.g. wheelchair details in readiness for assessment.

  • Collect, monitor and analyse data for flexible and demand responsive services to inform service decisions and evaluate customer feedback to ensure excellence in customer service. Produce weekly and monthly reports for Manager regarding passenger usage and statistics.

  • Count cash from fares handed in from drivers ensuring all monies are recorded and passed to Manager for banking and undertake general administrative duties as required to support projects, colleagues and delivery of the team plan.

Part time opportunity - Administrator (Part-Time)

Salary: Grade 4 (£19,312 - £19,698 FTE) + additional benefits.
22.5 hours per week - basic salary £11,743.00 (N.B. hours for Saturday attract a premium payment of time and one half)

Transport Service Solutions are recruiting a part time administrator to join the busy team operating the new ‘go-too’ demand responsive bus service in Nantwich and the surrounding area. The service operates from 7am to 9pm, Monday to Saturday.

Working within a friendly team in this busy role you will be predominantly involved in the following:

  • Monitor the go-too operational system (Via VOC) during service hours, liaising with drivers and passengers and responding to issues in a timely manner to minimise service disruption and provide a positive passenger experience. 

  • Add driver shifts and breaks to the go-too operational system (Via VOC) and keep updated with road closures or other issues that affect routing and bookings

  • Collect, monitor and analyse data to inform service decisions and evaluate customer feedback to ensure excellence in customer service

  • Arrange appropriate cover in the event of operational disruption (e.g. driver sickness, vehicle breakdown).

  • Undertake general administrative duties as required to support projects, colleagues and delivery of the team plan

Operations Officer (Part time hours)

Salary: £24,491 to £27,741 pro rata

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Operations Officer to join our friendly team at TSS. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated employee who will play a key role in the daily activities of the company.

Covering 15 hours within the working week, working pattern can be discussed at interview stage. This role will be based in the TSS offices located in the Environmental Hub, Cledford Lane, Middlewich.

You will work within a team who plan and co-ordinate assisted home to school transport for students who attend mainstream and special schools, some of whom have complex and special needs. In this diverse and interesting role you will be dealing with a range of people on a day to day basis. A flexible approach to this varied role will be required.

Duties will include:

  • Evaluate and process the applications/referrals for assisted school transport.

  • Attend school transport planning meetings.

  • Review current contracted transport services and making appropriate adjustments.

  • Supervise and support the work of administration officers working within the team.

  • Maintaining company data by using appropriate software packages.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

  • The ability to work to deadlines, independently, to prioritise & work flexibly.

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.

  • High level of ICT skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

Passenger Assistant - Casual

Grade 3 - £7.97-£8.55 per hour

You will be friendly and able to communicate well with staff and customers while you escort passengers who may have learning, mobility, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties, attending to their needs. You will also assist the driver by route finding and giving directions.

The TSS fleet is based in Middlewich and Macclesfield. You will need to be able to travel to locations across the Borough in order to do this job.
